Description:
Once upon a time, fairy tales were valuable cautionary yarns filled with dire warnings and sage advice. However, over time, the stories have become so watered down with cute woodland creatures and happy endings that they have lost their true meaning and purpose. No more! Happily Ever After ends now!
Episode 2: Little Red Riding Hood
In this episode, Little Red Riding Hood is sent by her mother to deliver some goodies to Grandma and told to not stray from the path or talk to strangers along the way. Of course, Little Red breaks both rules and ends up encountering one of the most fearsome creatures in the forest. What could possibly go wrong in Grimm’s version of this classic tale?

Episode 3: The Fisherman & His Wife
In this episode, a destitute fisherman catches a magical fish which offers to grant him wishes in exchange for its freedom. The fisherman is content with his current lifestyle, but his insatiable wife keeps pushing for bigger and bigger wishes: to live in a castle, to be Pope, to be like god. It’s up to Grimm to make sure that they both get what they deserve.

Episode 4: Puss in Boots
A miller dies and leaves only his cat, named Puss, to his youngest son. The son believes he’ll have to eat the cat in order to survive the night, but Puss asks for a brief reprieve and a pair of boots to prove his worth.
The resourceful Puss manages to outwit the king. defeat an Ogre, and bring wealth beyond belief to his young master. But does he truly have his master’s best interests at heart or are his motives a little more Grimm?

Episode 5: The Girl Without Hands
In this episode, the devil tricks a lowly miller into trading his daughter for the gift of wealth. Each time the devil comes to collect, the girl is so soaked with tears of sadness that the devil decides to come back another time. Accordingly, the miller cuts off the girl’s hands so that she’s constantly crying and therefore unwanted by the devil. The girl ultimately ends up marrying a king, but when he goes off to war, the devil returns and tricks the girl into thinking that the king has ordered her execution, driving her out of the castle and back to her father. She’s, of course, grateful to return to a place of safety until Grimm reminds her of the soon-to-be-famous phrase “an arm for an arm.”

Episode 6: Godfather Death
In this episode, when a poor couple gives birth to their thirteenth child, the father ventures out to find a godfather to raise his newest son. The man chooses Death and Death actually agrees to raises the child. In fact, Death helps him become a rich and famous doctor, armed with constant knowledge regarding which patients could be saved and which souls would soon be spirited away. Eventually, the man falls in love with a Princess that Death is about to claim, so he tricks his godfather into sparing her life. Whatever punishment might Grimm find suitable for someone trying to cheat Death - especially when Death is, as in this case, family?

Episode 7: The Devil and His Three Golden Hairs
In this episode, a young man must prove himself worthy of marrying the king’s daughter by bringing the king three hairs from the head of the devil. While on his quest through Hell, the man manages to win the affections of the devil’s grandmother - yes, grandmother - and encounters a blond, thumb-sucking devil. Is it possible that Grimm thinks this tale is in need of some serious rewrites?

Episode 8: Beauty and the Beast
In this episode, when a man is caught stealing a rose from an enchanted castle, the Beast who owns the castle offers to spare the man’s life in exchange for possession of his daughter, Beauty. Beauty is forced to live in the castle, and as we all know, ends up falling in love with the not-so-savage Beast. But, how would the tale of the fair maiden and the monstrous Beast be told if Grimm had his way?
