Recorded on the last night of Gilmour’s 2006 world tour. This double live album is given extra poignancy by the death, on Monday (15/09/2008), of the guitarist’s former Pink Floyd band mate Richard Wright.
The latter features prominently here. The bond between the pair is clear, with plenty of dazzling interplay between them on Floyd’s “Shine on you crazy Diamond”, and an epic, twenty-five minute “Echoes”; a fabulous album!
